GRAPE VARIETIES USED: Friulano (ex tocai)100%

VINTAGE:Friulan “Tocai” is the most common white grape variety in the Friuli region. The vine grows best in hilly areas, and the Colli Orientali (Eastern Hill area) is perfect, due to the particularly suitable geological and climatic conditions which are especially favourable for our vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand into crates at two different times: one part at the beginning of September and the remainder 10 days later.

VINIFICATION:soft pressing of the whole grape. A part is also macerated for a few hours. The must is subjected to cold settling and fermented at a controlled temperature. Fine yeast contact until March. Bottled the following spring.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:dry white wine; straw yellow colour with greenish. The aroma is reminiscent of bitter almond, elderflower and sun-dried purple medick. Crisp, plush, rounded flavour.

SUGGESTED PAIRINGS:excellent with starters, fish, snails and poultry. Superb as an aperitif, unbeatable with raw ham. Also a classic convivial wine.
