Costa Arente

Costa Arènte is located at an altitude of 250mt from sea level, surrounded on three sides by vineyards. From the Villa, the gaze is drawn upwards and is lost among the enchanting landscapes of the Valpantena, lingering on the peaks of the Lessini Mountains whose gentle breezes reach the Estate where they rustle the leaves of the 17 hectares of Pergola Veronese and Guyot vineyard. On the other side, gently rolling hills lead down to the grandiose Verona, city of lovers. Set in this fairy-tale landscape is "La Costa", as our Estate is known amongthe locals. "Costa" means hillside in the local dialect and is used to describe an especially high quality piece of land, while the definite article “La” historically identifies this hill in particular, so representative as to be taken as a model throughout the entire Valpantena.

Veneto

Veneto is a wine region in north-eastern Italy. The region is protected from the harsh northern European climate by the Alps, the foothills of which form the Veneto's northern extremes. These cooler climes are well-suited to white varieties like Garganega (the main grape for Soave wines) while the warmer Adriatic coastal plains and river valleys are where the renowned Valpolicella, Amarone and Bardolino DOC reds are produced. One of Italy's leading wine schools, Conegliano, is based here and the nation's most important wine fair, Vinitaly, takes place each spring in Verona.
