Production Area: Montepulciano - Siena

Yield per hectare: 100 quintals grapes equivalent

to 70 hl. Wine (winery average 96 quintals grapes equivalent to 67.20 hl wine)

Vines: Sangiovese (90%) and Canaiolo

(10%)

Vineyard altitude: 250/450 m. above sea level Planting System: Guyot and spurred cord (for new vines)

Plant Density: 3,500/5,000 vines per hectare Terrain: medium hilly, crumbled rock with good skeletal content

Vinification: Manual harvesting, controlled

temperature fermentation followed by maceration in stainless steel vats. Refined in Slavonic Oak barrels for at least 3 months

Characteristics of the wine:

Colour - ruby red with violet hues

Bouquet - characteristic red berry notes, full and lingering with hints of brushwood

Flavour - full, dense and well balanced with a pleasing, tannic finish that echoes the tradition of its principal component, the Sangiovese grape

Food pairing - a young wine that pairs well with red meats and medium-seasoned cheeses Serving Temperature - recommended serving temperature is 16°-18° C.
